CyberViewer is a shareware utility that keeps a history of the web pages that you've recently visited in Netscape Navigator. It displays a floating palette of thumbnails of the web pages, or a text list of page title, time visited, and URL. Unlike Netscape's history, the list is semi-permanent; entries don't disappear when you quit, aren't removed when you go "back" in a browser window, and will be around next week (if you want them to), so you can easily go back and find the address of that page you visited, either by name, or URL, or by the visual reminder of the thumbnail. Preference settings allow you to set how long entries remain in the history - either specify a period of time, or a maximum number of entries that you want to be retained.
In addition, CyberViewer can be configured to alert you when a web page is done loading. If a page is taking a long time to load, either open another browser window and continue surfing, or put Navigator in the background and work in another application, and CyberViewer will alert you when the page is loaded by playing a sound of your choice.
CyberViewer is drag and drop aware, so you can drag entries to a browser window to load the page, or to a bookmark window to add a permanent bookmark. Dragging to the finder will create a double-clickable bookmark file for Navigator, and dragging to the trash will remove entries from the list. See the manual for more details on CyberViewer's features.

How To Register
CyberViewer is Shareware, and registrations are handled through Kagi. A single-user license is US $15, and a site license is $800. You can register by email, postal mail, fax, or Kagi's web page.
You can register your copy of the shareware from the Kagi's WWW site. The URL is <http://order.kagi.com/?6RM>. There is a SSL version of the registration page for secure data transfer to protect your credit card information.
To register using the other available methods, open the "Register CyberViewer" program that accompanies CyberViewer. Enter your name, your email address, and how many single user and site license(s) you would like. Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. More specifics on the Register program to follow. Kagi handles my payment processing.
If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is 1-510-652-6589. You can either copy the data from the Register CyberViewer program and paste into the body of an email message or you can Save the data to a file and you can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.
If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:
Kagi
1442-A Walnut Street #392-6RM
Berkeley, California 94709-1405
USA
You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies, the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around USD $15 per check and that is just not practical. If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment. Kagi can not invoice your company, you need to act on my behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or email and without the payment, the form cannot be processed. Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is processed.
If you do not have an email address, please enter your complete postal address and please remember, we do not know what country you live in so please enter that into the postal address also.
Note To Registered Users
If you are a registered user of version 1.0 (your serial number is in the format JME-100-001-XXX-XXXXXX), you will need to reregister CyberViewer and obtain a new serial number. When I took over development of CyberViewer from Extensis, the agreement stated that I could not use any of their registration code (including serialization), and it was not part of the source code that was provided. As a result, I am unable to check the validity of their serial numbers. I am considering some kind of upgrade fee in place of having to register as a new user, but since the initial version was free, I don't feel too bad asking people to reregister. I don't intend to require registering more than once - future versions will be a free upgrade, and use the same serial number.
